Bible Reading Plan
Every week at Ethos we remind ourselves that we want to know Jesus and make Him known, and the way to know Jesus is to get to know the Bible.
That’s why as Ethos we are going through a Bible reading plan together. If we really believe that all of the Bible is inspired by God (2 Tim. 3:16) then our actions should display that by reading all of the Bible.
The way we’ll be doing this is by going through the Read Scripture app, which contains: animated video overviews of books of the Bible and important biblical themes, the Scripture reading for each day (plus one psalm), and the ability to track your progress. Don’t have a smartphone? There’s a printable version as well. With 15-20 minutes of reading (or listening with an audio Bible) a day, we’ll be making it through the whole Bible in one year.
But we also want to do everything we can to help you along the way. That’s why we’re building this plan into everything we do.
(1) Sundays With everyone reading the same plan, you can talk with anyone about what you’ve been reading that week!
(2) Community Groups Each week you’ll have the opportunity to share in small groups what you’ve read & learned, as well as ask questions.
(3) Website Every two weeks we’ll be posting a list of articles and audio & video resources on our website, exploring some of the themes & passages relevant to what we’ve been reading.
(4) Social Media Fallen a bit behind? We’ll be posting “catch up day” reminders occasionally, as well as links to the website resources.
So, over Christmas download the app and start with us on January 1!
